             abstract = "From Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM, 90 m of spatial 
                         resolution) images were possible to extract the drainage net using 
                         an automatic process. This automatic process was carried out in 
                         the hydrographic basins of the northeast of Par{\'a} and 
                         northwest of Maranh{\~a}o states, contributing in the upgrade and 
                         complementation of the IBGE and DSG plani-altimetric charts. The 
                         results indicate that hydrographic network of the study site is 
                         strongly controlled by structural framework, and based on previous 
                         studies this pattern was developed from tectonic processes since 
                         Mesozoic.",
